Third Thursday in Turners Falls

September 26, 2014

We will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Mohawk Trail.  Activities include: a scarecrow making workshop near the Discovery Center grounds at the corner and Avenue A. (Scarecrows will later be displayed all along Route 2!).  A showing of Steve Alves’ film Food for Change: The Story of Cooperation in America in the Great Hall. This film is a feature-length documentary focusing on food co-ops as a force for dynamic social and economic change in American culture. Also, the Great Hall of the center will be open to show Beth Pelton’s photography.
