The Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (M.A.P.S.) is here in Western Massachusetts! Join Ashely Green for a presentation at 1 p.m. Sunday July 17th in the Great Hall to learn about the only breeding bird banding station in Western Massachusetts. She has been banding forest birds this summer in the Warwick area – and has been able to see robins, chickadees, red-eyed vireos, ovenbirds, and blue jays up close! This presentation is free and open to all ages including families and children. Ashley can help you learn about getting involved in banding birds too! Get to know about this continent-wide network of stations, what demographic information is collected and how it can be useful in the conservation of birds and their habitats
