Canal Draw-down Walk
Once a year the Turners Falls canal is drained so that it can be maintained for hydroelectric power generation—but it is also a great way to see what’s really going on in the canal. Shopping carts? Tires? Carp? Secrets? Join a DCR Park Interpreter as we walk the canal side rail trail (without getting in the way of maintenance), and see what we can see!
