Book Launch – Occupying Massachusetts: Layers of History on Indigenous Land

August 27, 2022

Meet in the Great Hall courtyard to celebrate this new photobook by Sandra Matthews, with essays by David Brule and Suzanne Gardinier. Matthews’ photos of structures and historical markers suggest the long presence of Indigenous people in Massachusetts, and the difficult histories often hidden from view. Matthews and Brule talk about the project and the question it raises, “What can we do now?”
