Artist Talk and Spin-in: Make Do or Do Without— Depression-era Wool Quilts

August 29, 2021

Meet in the Great Hall and nearby courtyard. Join weaver and exhibit curator Peggy Hart for a talk on depression-era wool quilts at 11:00 a.m. Then celebrate wool and experience a “spin-in” where local spinners demonstrate their spinning wheels. Enjoy a fabric craft activity with Swanson’s Fabrics. All are welcome. Later, see the fully restored spinner statue in Spinner Park, Avenue A and 4th St.
