3rd Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival at Unity Park

July 28, 2016

3rd Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival at Unity Park

This all ages Native American cultural celebration at Unity Park is sponsored by the Nolumbeka Project and Turners Falls RiverCulture. Visit the Northfield Mountain and DCR tent to carve a homemade stamp, and begin a quest. People have gathered at the falls for thousands of years. This quest includes speaking with elders, while enjoying live music, drumming, storytelling, and crafts. Find out how the elders learned their special skills. Return to the tent to finish the quest and share stories.
