Edward J Hines will perform Middle Eastern folk, classical and original music on on old-world lutes–featuring his original American Oud ® – a unique instrument that is part Middle Eastern lute, part classical guitar which is Hines’ own creation.  Hines uses Turkish modes and rhythms as inspirations for his own compositions. The title of his musical performance is: Soft Sounds for a Loud World Doors open at 6:30 pm. ~ Suggested sliding scale donation $6–$15  ~ Free for children. Coffee and refreshments available. Museum open during intermission.  ~   Wheelchair accessible

We would be honored for you to join us at the 4th Annual Migrations Festival, a celebration of human and natural diversity of the upper Connecticut River Valley and the Americas. Come enjoy music by the youth of Musica Franklin, traditional Central and South American music by Juan-Carlos Carpio, light refreshments and art from Central America. Free and open to all. This event is a collaboration of DCR, Montague Catholic Social Ministries, RiverCulture, the Guatemala Art and Culture Connection and the people of Turners Falls.
